Attorney Matthew Hayes grew up in Florence, Alabama. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Matthew then attended law school at the Wake Forest School of Law. During law school, Matthew’s diverse experience included interning at the Public Defender’s Office in Palmer Alaska, interning for a family law judge in Alabama, and studying abroad in London, England. He also participated in the Innocence and Justice clinic and the Children’s Law Center clinic.
After obtaining his law degree, Matthew became licensed to practice in Alaska. Matthew began his career working at Golter & Logsdon, PC. When one of the firm’s owners, Tara Logsdon, accepted a position a magistrate judge, the firm became Golter Law Office, LLC. The other owner, David Golter, began his retirement at the end of 2017. At that time, Matthew created his own practice, Matanuska Law LLC. Matanuska Law LLC is located in the same location and has the same phone number as the previous firms.
Matthew’s extracurricular activities include mountain biking, packrafting, skiing, backpacking, and fishing.
